Yal Dimond
An elite unit of calvary that has been trained over the centuries and while still intact today they act as mostly ceremonial, though they are still ver capable if they needed to go into combat.
Founded in Greenfall ages ago shortly after the city fell and become a monarchy. They are the most elite warriors in the city and the highest ranked active soldiers that are not officers. The position is one of such great honor that many people forgo chances to be officers so that they can have a chance at become a member of the unit.
Dressed in green and golden uniforms, they ride atop black horses. They weald swords and are highly trained to use them. They are seen as protectors of the city and are often seen in parade in the town on special celebrations. When they are not out in public they live at the palace and train on its grounds. It is hard to become one of these riders requiring years of training and experience.
While the city has not seen war in more then a hundred years, these solders are still trained. They are known for their famous maneuver where they position themselves in a diamond formation with the fourteen members all arrange precisely. One man riding at front with three rows of paired riders on each side of him slight behind the previous one and farther out form the center. This pattern flips as it goes back to the rear rider. Two riders stay in the center of the formation ready to replace anyone who falls. This formation is used to split ranks in the enemy lines and allow the rest of the soldiers to push threw.
