King

Kings are the highest rank of nobility. They owe know vassalage and all the land belongs to them. Kings are politically independent, though they may owe allegience that is not feudal. A typical king has at least 100 knights who call him liege and must be the ultimate master of all of the land in his kingdom (though he may, of course, enfeoff it).
It is important to remember that the King and the land are an organic whole. When evil befalls the king, evil befalls the whole land.
Kingship originally arose in Britain out of tribal warlords.
