Dust Heart's 2023 Word Ember Challenge

Week 1 Lets-a-go: For this challenge, I'm looking to write out more of the world of Meridia during the 3rd Era. I have a lot of history on the 4th Era (Since the first day of the 4th Era is when my D&D campaign started) but 3e had mostly been untouched up until this point. I started working on it a little bit for fun a few months back, and now I really wanna commit!   Week 2 Mini Meta: I really would like to focus on the races and cultures of Rodina mainly during this time period I've chosen. 3e is almost 1440 years long, so there's a lot of history and events to cover, but if I don't have the basics finished yet in terms of cultures, races, nations, and geography, than it's going to be a bad time. This is why I think Focusing on a goal like this is both achievable and enjoyable!   Main points:   Flush out Rodinian Nations (Forged Legion, Accaron, Kyros, Berava, Wildlands, Badlands, Thornlands)   ((Idea: Thornlands are ruled by a living presence of nature in the woods themselves. They fear the outside and so keep the Gaelmer inside and the outside outside.))   Give lore and context to cities and villages   ((Idea: Come up with a village that no longer exists, not due to war, but a lack of resources))   Create interesting and detailed articles on the races of the Rodinian continent (Humans, Dwarves, Gaelmer, Elves, Giants, Orcs, Harpies, Ogres)   ((Idea: Flesh out the difference between Elves and Gaelmer and the ritual one must undergo to become a Gaelmer))   Geography. Yes there are obvious forests, mountains, coastlines, and rivers, but giving each a little bit more than JUST a name should really help flesh things out better for the area and history behind it. Cultures often are shaped by their environments after all.   (( Idea: Orcs are warlike and raiders due to scarcity in the Badlands ))   Week 3 Homepage: After reviewing my homepage and taking a quick glance at other front pages, it's clear that I should try to make mine more presentable and friendly to new readers. I would love to get some great artwork posted, as well as a custom theme down the line. In the meantime, I did organize my articles to be a lot easier to find for anyone interested. While most articles are currently unpublished, the ones that will be able to be seen will be just a click away, and allow people to dive right in.   I also need to write a better and more engaging introduction meta to entice people. (This I will do when I'm not exhausted from work)   Week 4 (The Final Countdown!) Prep-Time:   So getting ready for quite a writing challenge, I've done the following:   Set up my office to isolate myself when I'm ready to write or inspiration hits me.   Got my Chromebook back up and running so I don't have to write on the gaming PC in the livingroom.   Figured out how to send myself private mesages on SLACK from work if/when ideas come and hit me while on the clock.
