Drix's backstory
Born in the city of Tulamba to a father once of the Scholars caste, Drix grew up during the time the caste system started to be dismantled and Drix’s father Salvador welcomed the change, despite the protests of others of the Scholars Caste he helped to distribute learning materials as well as teaching magic to those that showed aptitude for it and when Drix himself showed an aptitude for learning magic Salvador started teaching him at a young age.
As Drix grew up he showed a great deal of interest in history of not just the Kingdom of Hathee but that of the world itself not wanting to stay still and so found himself going on expeditions to explore and uncover the mysteries that the jungle and the war for Hathee had hidden from them.
From his work with small bands of scholars he came to Meera Silaza a wealthy woman whose family was once Nobles Caste but were among the first to join Ashoka in his fight against King Vilo and were allowed to keep most of their wealth, and with that wealth was funding an expedition passed the storm sea to explore the ruins of what once was and with his knowledge of magic, history, and religion as well as a map he found of ruins that didn’t match any found on the continent he was able to talk his way onto the expedition in hopes of finding fame and uncover the past
