As harsh and unforgiving as its people, the Sal'Tzynn system is a binary one, consisting of a comparatively large red dwarf and a healthy G class star that bathe the planets revolving around them in near permanent light. The system is the seat of Tzynn imperial authority and the home of the biggest slave market in the lower quadrants. There are eight planets revolving around the twin suns of Sal'Tzynn - three gas giants with intricate ring and satellite systems and five rocky worlds including the mineral rich Ro'Doman, famous for its slave mines and Tzynnia, seat of the Tzynn Empire.
Tzynnia
The beating, bleeding heart of the Tzynn Empire is a harsh and unforgiving place. A desert planet with no oceans - only a few large briny lakes and several massive rivers that pour out from the mountains into the dune seas to dwindle and die, Tzynnia would not be most species' idea of an eden. But for the pack hunting ancestors of the Tzynn the dune wastes were prime hunting grounds and perfect for honing discipline and ruthlesness. the Tzynn became what their world had made them - vicious hunters, predators reveling in the glory of battle. The red sands of Tzynnia are blood spattered to this day and all living things still quake at the sight of Tzynn in the oases and floodplains of the desert world. Ten Billion Tzynn call the planet home, crowded into underground clanhalls and towering oasis cities but there are at least another five billion slaves, of all races and creeds in the System, doing all the menial jobs and most of the lethal ones as well. In truth nobody knows how many slaves there are in the system at one time as the ones forced to dig in darkness have a tendency to die only to be replaced by the vast numbers traded aboard the Bazaar, the grand slave marketplace at the heart of the system, nestled between Sal'Tzynn's two suns.
Grander still than any starbase or the Bazaar is the Imperial palace from whence the God-King issues proclamations. Built almost a thousand years ago atop a beautiful oasis, it is surrounded by a sprawling metropolis from where the entire empire is governed.
