Altemen (all-tuh-men)

Short, thick. snake people, like dwarves with snake bodies instead of legs and no hair.   Strong and with a love of digging and being underground. Only species that can stand extended periods of time in the Greenholt mountains of The Reaches.  The Reaches are their traditional homeland.   A subspecies of Altemen grow wings and can fly short distances, mostly used for gliding from bridge to bridge in underground caverns they call home.
