The Song of The Blessing

The Song of the Blessing is an old nursery song, often sung as a round in early schools or by families with many children. There are, of course more than just these two versions, but these are the most common, with obvious differences in the version sung by those in The Church of Peace.
These are the condensed versions as the original version had 27 stanzas.

♪The Gods did gather to make a great spell
But in the end it didn't go well
A day that really should've been grand
Turned into a frying pan♪

♪Demons were to be cast outside
Instead were left on the other side
The Gods they pushed themselves away
We hope they come back to us someday♪

♪Oh-oh my Gods the spell you cast
To make all Ri-it safe at last
Your Blessing only half way done
Is this a failure of the Sun?♪

♪The spell it caused the land to shake
And caused the people's hearts to quake
Cities fell and the sky turned black
Thank the Gods the Demons're held back♪

♪Along the west in the Demon Lands
The evil creatures clap their hands
And stomp their feet in furious glee
Waiting and trying to break free♪

♪Oh-oh my Gods the spell you cast
To make all Ri-it safe at last
Your Blessing only half way done
Is this a failure of the Sun?♪

♪Though for now we're safe from the Demon slag
We mustn't let our vigilance flag
Until the Gods return from beyond the veil
We must do our best and never fail♪

♪Be kind to others and treat them right
On the side of good and not just might
Together with each of us must we band
Always lend a helping hand♪

♪There may be others not like us
But the Gods gave gifts to all of us
Respect the ones who look different
And always obey your good parents♪

But in their image Gods made man
Don't consort with ones who look different
