The Eternal River
A constant movement creates a vibration, an Echo. Everything in existence has one, and the Eternal River is where everything flows together. The River's name was given to it by Elphin who experienced the intensity of it firsthand. They described a massive cacaphony that reminded them of the sound of a river so violent it could cut through entire planets. Anyone experiencing the Eternal River firsthand has a very small chance of survival. They will most certainly be deafened. The insane amount of vibration will likely also destroy their eyes. A lot of them will be driven mad. Thankfully, the Eternal River doesn't manifest itself in its full intensity unless a specific ritual is performed.
If anything in the world dies, their Echo will slowly dissolve and become one with the Eternal River. New Echoes are formed every second, and with them new life. The Eternal River in its lowest intensity is necessary for all of existence. As such, the Eternal River and the Echo are part of a chaotic cluster of metaphysical phenomena that create, sustain and alter life on a daily basis. Many Elphin cultures view the Eternal River as a realm of the dead, a place beyond space and time, where the dead go to be regenerated into a new life.
