Ferdinand Sapire
Ferdinand Sapire was a half-elf linguist who was instrumental in the development of Imperial Common. He specialized in the study of the Monumenta of ancient languages, particularly the Alltongue.
Sapire was a frequent explorer of Old Ones Ruins, and eventually his hobby caught up to him. He suffered from severe soulsickness that left him in a prolonged coma. When he got out of it, he had forgotten everything, even his own name. After his death, his family formed the Sapire Foundation to support other Soulsickness sufferers.
