Lolth

Lolth is a demon lord and goddess worshipped by the Drow (some myths propose that she was originally a goddess who was transformed into a demon). She displays formidable power and great cruelty with an affection for arachnids.

Lolth has, through deceit and domination, garnered the ears of the dark elves and eventually established herself as their foremost deity, keeping them under her thumb by creating a society in which only the strong survive and her priestesses are strongest.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The main symbol used by followers of Lolth is that of a black spider. The exact look of the sigil can vary between houses and even individual priestesses.

Tenets of Faith

Spiders and arachnids are sacred animals to Lolth, and she looks disfavourably upon those that slay them.

Lolth prizes cunning and power over all other characteristics. She favours any of her followers that exhibits these traits.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Lolth whispers to her followers that their time will come, and that they must maintain and brutally enforce a society which crushes the weak, and rewards the strong. By doing this, under her banner they will one day rise up and dominate the surface world, enslaving all of it's peoples and cultures.

In reality, it is in Lolth's interest to keep her followers perpetually divided and struggling for dominance, as this both amuses her, and provides her with a steady stream of souls on which she gorges herself.
