Dale Compact

Era beginning/end

The Dales Compact was signed in 1DR. It is a treaty between humans of what would become the Dale lands and the local Elves: The humans would be allowed to settle in the unforested and non-elven-claimed regions of the forest of Cormanthor in return for not cutting deeper into the elven woodlands. This treaty marks the beginning of the history of the Dale lands and is used as the start of the Calendar of Harptos.
