Session 40 - Reprise

General Summary

Red discovered a magic portal in the Soulskein gardens. Lat'num activated it and the party walked into a crystalline tunnel. They exited into a large room filled with celebratory music. Karic | Drow Emissary was there, along with the other Unblinking bards.
Karic demanded they hand over the cube. His voice filled with bardic magic and charmed Berov and S'thom. S'thom took the cube to Karic while Berov defended her against Gorgoroth.
The battle was fierce and the cube was tossed around the room like a football. Gorgoroth slapped it out of Karic's hand and teleported it to Renestrae. Berov attacked Renestrae and she gave it to Lat'num. Lat'num ran with it across the auditorium and blasted a group of bards with a sonic boom. But with S'thom and Berov fighting for the wrong team, the Unblinking were sure to win.
Renestrae fey stepped across the room and used her innate charm magic to reverse the charm on S'thom and Berov. Once free of the spell, the tides of battle turned and the bards were outmatched. Before Karic and his followers could all be killed, though, he teleported them away.
The party quickly left the area before the drow could regroup. Some time later they ran into wererat guide that hunted Zot Euan | Orc Resistance Operative. He gave them a letter written in theivescant that was supposed to get them in touch with his friends "on the outside". He showed them to a door and told them it was a secret way out of the undercity and into the canyon valley beyond the Graveyard district.
Rather than make a rash decision, the party used their Rope Trick spell and hid away in an extradimensional space to rest and think it over.
