The Great Hearth
Fire is many things, but passive is not one of them. Every moment of Fire's existence, it has burned with an unparalleled passion, and though it changes and shifts, that passion never flags. The source of this unfaltering passion coincides with the source of Fire itself as an element, the Great Hearth. The Great Hearth is said to be a raging inferno at the core of a volcano with an endless flow of lava which comes forth from its mouth. The location of this volcano is unknown, though there are many active volcanoes in the PyroVerse as well as several different instances of worshipers of Ba'alPyro claiming that one specific volcano is the location of the Great Hearth, though none have been proven. It is said that the flow of the lava from the Great Hearth spreads elemental Fire across the PyroVerse, saturating it with the energy young Majikai use to attune to the element of Fire. There are also quiet rumors, barely heard anymore, that there is another method of attuning to Fire without going through with the full natural process, though by now that method has been long lost to antiquity.
History
It is said that once upon a time before the Great Separation, the fires of the Great Hearth were used to forge powerful artifacts with great abilities, even weapons that themselves were fully attuned to Fire, granting them unknown power. However, those ancient and powerful artifacts and the process of forging them were lost in the Great Separation when the Great Hearth was shunted into an unknown place in the PyroVerse.
