Exipote City

Exipote City is the huge city and the largest structure on Albicant. It is comprised three parts: an upper citadel, called Exipote Upper, an even bigger underground city, Mainstay and the surrounding urban sprawl referred to as The Metals.   The entire structure was built by Pscion on the ruins of the Alibicant's old capital prior to the Cataclysm.

Infrastructure

The Mainstay

The Mainstay (often referred to simply as Mainstay or the Stay) is the name of Exipote's expansive underground city. The name specifically refers to undercity’s central hub. It features numerous shopping districts, pubs, clubs and restaurants. The Mainstay is comprised of over 40 levels and a further 30 sub-levels and mezzanines. The base veers into two stablising struts that comprise of 10 levels with the base itself counting as the lowermost level of the city.   The Mainstay has over 40 levels with an additional 30 smaller levels called as sub-levels or mezzanines. The support struts of The Mainstay are composed of 20 floors total with the addition of the base. They are divided into three sub-districts:
Requiem
The base level of The Mainstay is composed of artificial farm-land. It rests on the floor of the cavern that Exipote is built into. Despite it's location, it is home to some of the most fertile soil in Albicant. Requiem could function independently from Exipote given that it produces it’s own food and has a thriving population, however, PSCION’s monopoly on the water filtration and irrigation systems keep it part of the city. It is believed to be the exact site where many lives were lost following the Cataclysm and is named for those lives.
Memoril
The first strut that supports The Mainstay, made up of ten floors. It is largely home to low-income housing as it sits above the city’s gigantic network of maintenance systems. Many of the maintenance workers live in Memoril. It is named to remind the city of what came before it.
Renais
The second strut that supports the Mainstay. It's ten floors are the industrial heart of Exipote City. It is composed of huge pulse mining factories, metalworks and textile production companies. Houses most of the factory workers. It's name symbolises the rebirth of humanity.   The remaining levels and subs are grouped into blocks referred to as districts. The Districts vary in level number and each have their own subculture:
Autex
The first of Mainstay’s Main Districts. There are five levels and five mezzanines that make up Autex. One of which is Exipote's thriving red-light district, Terminus Junction, colloquially known as Neon Junction. It includes a lot of cheap high-rise accommodation and a vibrant night-life scene. If you’re looking for fast fun and pleasure, Autex is it. It is named for the free will of the people.
Unity
Unity, the second-biggest district. The district is composed of 5 floors and 9 mezzanines. It is wider than the others as it is where the North and South Redoubts meet the Mainstay. It's two main features are two huge artificial gardens, Unity Station Park and Wood Row Park. It is named for a united people.
Possibility
This district is the home of The Mainstay University. One half of it's 5 floors and six mezzanines are comprised of student accommodation, bars, cafés and, most notable, Amastacia Library. The other half has a fashionable reputation with many high-end boutiques. It is named for the pursuit of ideals.
Solace
It is named for peace and safety.
Salutine
Salutine is the biggest district and the point where the Left and Right Bulwark meet the Mainstay. It has several shopping levels and districts all of which cater to various tastes and price-ranges. It's known areas include: Axis Square, the gaming and geek subculture district, West Rider Crossing, the arts district, Irrigo Heights, home to the music scene and local nightlife and Lowline Drive, the Pulse Racing district, home to sports bars and fan merch shops.
Almacantar
This district is a stroll through the high-life with expensive restaurants, designer boutiques and luxury housing. It is considered the point where The Mainstay meets Exipote Upper.   In addition, there are four more support structures, where citizens of Exipote live and work. They are some of the most low-income areas of Exipote, especially since one of the structures collapsed 20 years ago.
Left and Right Bulwarks
The Left Bulwark, also called L.B. or more accurately L.B.2. is composed of several warehouse districts and some smaller apartment blocks. It is most well known for being the support that collapsed following an incident in a PSICON storage unit. The Right Bulwark (R.B.) has a similar demographic but a better reputation.
North and South Redoubt
The Redoubts are made of some housing but mostly shops.
