Aurelia

Aurelia, the grand city of the Aurelians, built low on the slopes of Mt. Sera. The city does not rise anymore than a few thousand feet up the slope, hugging the sides of Mt. Sera like a blanket of marble of glass. The city is split between north and south by the waterfalls spilling from the peak of Mt. Sera that flow down the slope and through the city, feeding the Nahr and Kana' Rivers.
Over the centuries, the city has modernized and grown more organized, reflecting the long-ages and long-term planning of the elven-descendant Aurelians. Large paved streets cut even and uniform paths through the city, and modern amenities such as trains, lightning rails, and airships can be seen throughout the city. Today, ten districts define the city proper at the base of Mt. Sera, with eight ringing the mountain and two in the center on either side of the rivers.
Upon entry, the city is inviting to all who visit, with wide arched gateways through the main walls that ring the city, large inns and hotels, and market vendors lining the streets to hawk their wares. It has been this way since the founding of the city, when it was a major stop on four different trade routes and the site of thousands of yearly pilgrimages to the holy mountain.
