Leveling

Book 2 of the Nameless Trilogy starts at Level 10 for the players/characters who participated in the Book 1 Campaign. New players/characters are welcome to start at Level 10 for Book 2. Of course, there is also the option of starting at a lower level, but that would be more challenging. When building your character, there are several things to keep in mind.

• Level 10 is the equivalent of a regional hero. In real-world terms, you are famous in a single city or in a county, but relatively unknown in other cities. You don't have to design your character this way; they could have reached Level 10 in isolation. What is important though is how they reached Level 10. Build a background that explains what journeys they had to go through to reach Level 10.
• I have built multiple arcs into Book 2 that I use for leveling purposes, rather than tracking experience. This way, you guys don't have to feel pressured to hunt down enemies for experience. Enjoy the adventure, role play to your heart's content, and when we reach the end of an arc, you will level up.
• Book 2 has 5 distinct story arcs, which means you can expect your character to grow to Level 15 by the end of Book 2. Feel free to plan ahead where you'd like to see your character grow and develop (multiclassing, feats, abilities) and incorporate that into your roleplaying.
