Aerodyne

The Aerodyne or Aerodyne Vehicle, commonly abbreviated as AV (pronounced "Ay-Vee"), is an aircraft powered by ducted jet fans, closely resembling a flying automobile. For sheer tactical versatility, there's not much that can beat an aerodyne. They can go anywhere that's above water, hover, and perform all manner of vector thrust maneuvers, they're faster than helicopters and can carry more weight. Aerodyne can hold significantly more armor than helicopters and can accept more specialized equipment. Aerodyne are available to civilians.
