The Barghest Thorhammer CQB-Surfaces is a cyberware augmentation that involves the augmentation and reinforcing of the striking surfaces of the metahuman body. CQB-Surfaces include other parts of the metahuman body, such as elbows, knees, and even horns for trolls. This augmentation is usually only available for cyberlimbs, but if somebody has bone lacing or bone augmentation, they can effectively use the Thorhammer CQB-Surfaces.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The Barghest Thorhammer CQB-Surfaces is a powerful yet versatile augmentation, allowing someone to fracture a person's skull easily with a simple strike.
Components: Extremely strong shape metal ceramic alloys and fluid-motion actuators are used. However, there can be situations when the metal ceramic is replaced with a stronger material, such as super or hyper alloy, when a stronger metahuman is getting the augmentation. The Striking surfaces also go through additional reinforcements.
Implantation: There are two different ways of implanting this augmentation. First way is if the user has a cyberlimb, they first deactivate the cyberlimb and then work by implanting and changing the striking surfaces of the cyberlimb. The other way is if the metahuman has bone lacing or bone augmentation, they first put the user unconscious and begin to bond the enhanced striking surfaces to the enhanced bone or cybernetic equivalent. The Striking surfaces are these: hands, feet, elbows, knees, and if the user chooses, their head.
Abilities: The Barghest Thorhammer CQB-Surfaces comes in different levels of reinforcement, corresponding to different levels of damage.
Class 1: Class 1 CQB-Surfaces are the most subtle of the CQB-Surfaces. They involve lightly armoring of the striking surfaces, they almost look like additional reinforcements to the areas rather than combat augmentations. The striking power is increased substantially and the flexibility it's substantially increased too, making them hard to break
Class 2: Class 2 CQB-Surfaces are significantly less subtle, looking like legitimate armor plates on the striking surfaces. It massively increases the striking power and flexibility.
Class 3: Class 3 CQB-Surfaces are the heaviest and most armored of their CQB-Surfaces. Being noticeably heavily armored. At this point, the striking power and flexibility are tremendously increased.
