Subdermal armor

Subdermal armor is a cyberware augmentation in which subdermal armor plates are inserted to better protect important organs and arteries. Subdermal armor can be considered better than orthoskin in some aspects, as it provides more protection. Mechanics & Inner Workings

Subdermal armor is an amazing protection augmentation, able to make the user much more resilient to all forms of damage.   Components: Subdermal armor is made of impact-resistant hard plastic and metal-like ceramic fiber composite plates. These are smart materials and can do limited self-repairing when damaged, but if they are damaged heavily enough, then you need to go to a cyberdoctor to get it fixed.   Implantation: The user's skin is cut open and the Subdermal armor is implanted on top of the rib cage, which allows the user to still get other skin augmentations. Then the Subdermal armor is bonded to the ribs, allowing them to be non-painfully pulled back in case of surgeries.   Abilities: Subdermal armor allows the user to take drastically more damage and survive. It comes in three levels, with each one being more resilient than the last.   Class 1: Class 1 Subdermal armor is the least protective of the three, but still offering a high amount of protection. Class 1 Subdermal armor can easily stop pistol rounds up to low-level rifle rounds repeatedly.   Class 2: Class 2 Subdermal armor is significantly more protective than class 1, offering an extremely high level of protection. Class 2 Subdermal armor can easily stop medium-level to high-level rifle rounds repeatedly.   Class 3: Class 3 Subdermal armor is the highest level and the most protective, offering an immense amount of protection. Class 3 Subdermal armor can easily shrug off high-level rifle rounds repeatedly.   Subdermal armor can be combined with other protection augmentations, such as bone lacing and orthoskin, for an immense amount of protection.
