Spacer Certification Programme

More than simply growing up in a spacer community, a Spacer Certification Program is a semiformalized vocational education track. Those that pass through this educational path end up with skills useful for living on spacecraft, or space stations, usually including asteroid mining, space salvage, and spacecraft crew duties, as well as microgravity operations. Those that graduate tend to get professional certifications that make it easier to find jobs on tramp freights, asteroid miners, and salvage crews.

Skills

Vacc Suit 1, plus any two of the following:
Astrogation 0, Electronics 0, Engineer 0, Explosives 0, Mechanic 0, Pilot 0, Profession (Spacer) 0

Graduation Benefits

Gain any three other skills listed above at level 0
Gain any skill listed above at level 1.
Increase DEX and INT by +1, Decrease SOC by -2.
If graduating with honors, gain Jack-of-all-Trades 1 and increase DEX by +1

Qualification

DM+1 to enlist, gain commission or promotion in the Merchant (free trader) career.

Entry: Int 4+
DM+1 if DEX 8+
