September Goals

Keep Moving Forward.
This is my favourite mantra. I got it from the Disney film, "Meet the Robinsons." Everyone has an opinion about Disney, but this mantra has stuck with me because the story is so poignant. The film describes an orphaned boy who is having trouble understanding why his mother gave him up. He is also a boy genius and can invent things. Throughout the film, he tries to go back in time to change his mother's mind. But instead, he learns to accept the past and move forward.
Have you ever experience this? A moment in life that you wish you could change if only you could go back in time. A moment so incredibly painful, raw and cruel that your brain attaches itself to the memory and doesn't let go. Can you relate?
Mantras like this are useful to push through those moments of doubt. When I use this mantra, I visualize myself detaching from the storm of emotions that are swirling in my head. I also use it to detach myself from negative people. The ones who snigger at your ideas or concepts. The ones who look at you as if you are crazy.
As a newbie writer, there is a lot of doubt. I have a concept in my mind that is swirling in a chaotic mess, in which I can't catch. It's like a teenager's room, pure chaos! So I am going to catch one thing at a time and streamline them into monthly goals and challenges. Eventually, the chaos will settle and order will form. Eventually, the story will emerge. Until then, here is my first set of goals.
World Anvil's September Challenge
As of this writing, I don't know what the challenge is. I discussed this on Discord, got sidetracked with other conversations, then came back to the challenge (procrastination through distractions! The finest of procrastination types!) Fortunately, through these discussions, SoulLink provided useful links to previous challenges. These are in the section of useful links in the sidebar.

Improve the Metadata for the world.
I am using the New Realm's metadata as a stepping stone to building the world. As noted with Amélie I. S. Debruyne some world builders keep their metadata private. But I want to use the metadata as a way of describing the feeling of the world. It will also help me stay on track. I will focus on completing the metadata with the idea that I will continue adding to it as I progress. Once the key aspects are completed, I will begin working on the cultures , however this will take time and will not be completed by the end of September. Naturally, the awesome members on Discord (Stormbril)provided a few useful links which are listed on the sidebar.

Genre
This one is hard. The novel is an amalgamation of genres. There is fantasy and magic, violence and gore. Then there is romance, but not the typical romance. The novel is about breaking the rules. I LOVE watching movies and series and listening to music, so here are a few of my favourite examples: The Last Kingdom, Taboo, The Peaky Blinders, Shadow and Bone and Black Widow. The music from King Arthur is also fantastic! Check out my list of movies/shows in the sidebar and tell me in the comments what you thought of them.
Due Date: September 30th
I would love feedback regarding these goals. What do you do in your world? How do you organize your work? Leave a comment and I promise to respond!

Why are trees so carefree and easygoing in September?
Because every fall, they let loose.
Thank you so much for the inclusion as a Meta example! <3 And what a fun blogpost to read! I enjoy your first set of goals. I'm also really excited for the September challenge, too!
Thank you! I appreciate your input. :)
