Taxes
The city and kingdom take about 10% of the income as taxes to pay for the military, city maintenance, and the government. This may not be in the form of coins in some cases, such as a percentage of the crop from farmers.

Any leftover money or material wealth that can be saved for future expenditures or purchases.
