Sparkwood

The bark of the sparkwood tree contains reactive chemicals in it's fibers that cause an exothermic reaction when disturbed. By snapping a twig from a sparkwood tree, one can cause a small but extremely hot flash of fire originating form the breakpoint. The sap of a sparkwood tree has the same effects, but is more stable and burns longer as a fuel source.
Weapons made from sparkwood deal fire damage and armor made from sparkwood reduces fire damage by half rounded down even when the wearer does not use an armor level.
