A title given to the 5 banished pirate lords of carina. the nine made a pact to newer touch the sea again and to uphold each other's rule. Nine marks were made and given out to the captains. this is their symbol of power and is highly regarded even in carina. The marcs have been paced down through generations of captains but never lost. some even say the marks hold a secret to the resting place of the first pirate king's treasure.
