The desert of Kasar

Its located in a great depression north of Dragnow. once ruled by an ancient kingdom called Kasar that's long since destroyed and forgotten to the sand. Now only raiders and old nomads roam there.

Geography

Is a windy desert with great dunes that the wind howls between. Located in a great depression there are some rivers on the outskirts of the desert that soon evaporate after entering the desert.

Ecosystem

Only the hardest plants and wildlife survive here with scarce water and a scorching sun. Most animals have the ability to burrow to get away from the sun, and others have gotten the ability to glide on the strong wind funneled between the sand dunes.

Localized Phenomena

Between the dunes the wind howls day and night, never ending always circling. The locals call it the Gust, talking about it as if was once alive. There are stories about an old garden, long since dead, and that the gust is its restless spirit.

some small herbs clinging to the few places with shade from great ancient stones of old buildings. And the animals always burrowed or cooling off in the sky riding the Gust.

Natural Resources

In this desert is the greatest deposit of platinum ever found on this continent and may be the only reason the pepole of Kasar stayed here.

History

After the Siknes took the lands and war started to rage these lands were forgotten to the desert, slowly crumbling. The capital of Kasar was used as a stronghold in the early days of the war but was soon removed from the face of Ossypia.
