Anjendan tideriders

The Anjendans are most well known today for their great failure. They planned to cross one of the greater ocean Gaps, a voyage of considerable risk but potentially great reward if valuable resources were found. They were able to get financial backing for the expedition by first securing the assistance of the Eddy's Dancinglight, who agreed to join the trip to help navigate the unknown currents and weather patterns of the Gap.
The first exploratory mission was a success. The fleet returned with charts showing the locations of several newly discovered islands, including one that showed promising signs of volcanic activity. Within the year they sent the fleet again, this time with the intention of establishing an outpost to map the volcanic island and do a mineral survey of its rocks. This speculation fleet vanished entirely, without even sending a distress signal.

Disbandment

The Anjendan family never recovered from the failure of the Grand Aventure fleet. After struggling to stay together for several years, the remaining family members were subsumed into other groups of tideriders.
