Angel Knives

Angel Knives are a set of retractable knives. There are three different sizes with three of each kind in a full set. There is small (3 in./7.62 cm), medium (5 in./12.7 cm), and large (9 in./22.86 cm).

The knives got their name when the creator noticed the knives looked like angels when the blades stuck out. He named them Angel Knives because of the look. However, some also say he named them after the Angel of Death, because of how many people would die at the hands of these knives.

Rarity

These are very common. Sets of these angel knives can be found in nearly every well-respected, criminal retail store. Because of their simplicity and practicality criminals have some version of these knives almost always on hand.

However, the original set of Angel Knives have been lost for years. No one is quite sure what happened to them, but most think they were buried with the creator.

Materials & Components

The "body" of the knives are made with simple wood. It varies from knife set to knife set, but it will typically be oak or maple. The blades also vary, but the most popular are stainless steel, carbon steel, or Damascus steel.

Although these knives started off simple, many modern versions have started to change these knives. The body mostly stayed the same, the only difference was the color. Now, instead of the wooden brown it became white, blue, and various other combinations.

However, the largest change happened with the blade. The blade started to come out in different shapes. Some took on a more angel wing appearance, others had serrated edges, while some simply combined the two. There were several more designs such as a needle point and trailing point.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The "body" of the angel has a rectangle shape with a flat base and a curved top, where a circle sits to create the head. On the sides of the rectangle are small slits in the wood. In these slits are the blades, when a pressure point somewhere on the "body" is pushed the "wings" or blades will pop out.
