The Mafias

I work in a team. Unlike many of the other famous professions, I have to trust people or the entire operation might collapse. It's a liability, but one that I need to accept. And one that you will need to if you wish to join.

You see, we're a rather infamous profession. I'm sure you've heard of us from somewhere. We're fantasized and fictionalized, but that's aside the point. In this team, we all have a job that relies on another imperfect human being. It's, I think, one of the more fascinating professions.

Of course, every team is different. I'll try to make things as simple as possible.

Career

Qualifications

First, you must be willing to learn quickly. My team does not have time to waste on you. We have other tasks to complete and jobs to fulfill and training you is wasting precious time. Learn quickly and you will do well.

Second, you are to always be on time. It sounds rather silly, but people might soon be relying on you, and you cannot fail them. Failure is not tolerated in any team such as this.

Third, you are to never make an excuse. Excuses are for the weak. An excuse is nothing more than a fancy way of saying "I am a coward. I couldn't fulfill my duties, and I'm too pathetic to apologize." Never make an excuse. If you make a mistake you own up to it. You don't cover it, blame it on someone else, or take the coward's way out and make an excuse.

Career Progression

Becoming apart of a team this infamous is not easy. Typically you must already come from a background of infamy, because getting in is nearly as impossible as getting out. In the case that you do not have a background in infamy, in order to get in you must complete a series of initiations. Several of them involving arguably, very heinous crimes

Once those have been completed, you will be able to enter the team at the lowest rank.Soldier. It's a humble role, and the jobs can be rather demeaning, but eventually you may be able to climb the ranks.

If you are able to do that, you will be offered a choice. You may choose your next role. Of course, if you're not proficeint enough at it in a certain amount of time you will be either demoted or transfered to another role. (However, most of the time one is just disposed of.)
