First developed in the leadup to The Dongui departing their city. Foodstuffs had to be able to be prepped and cooked in transit. Again the Dongui hired the best and wagon cakes were one of the items that was approved and went into large scale use. Centuries later they are still staples of every meal of the Dongui. Whenever a Caravan sets up market Wagan Cake venders can be readily found. Rumor says those who try to sneak in and steal the recipe are disposed of... possibly into Wagon Cakes.

It is theorized outside the Caravans that it is literally just made from odds and ends and some special secret seasoning known only to the Dongui. Outsiders could be right since the Dongui keep that as a Secret from all and they are made within closed Dongui Wagons, outsiders have no way to learn. But they are welcome to purchase several dozen in attempt to figure it out.
