The Gloomy Mountains

Lining the spine of Zeikseth from north to south, the Gloomy Mountains are the tallest mountain range on any of the three islands. Covered in snow every month of the year, these mountains cast such large shadows that the area around them shares the snow. These shadows are what gave the Gloomy Mountains their name, for in the mornings, the western side of Zeikseth is blanketed in darkness and in the afternoons the same is true for the eastern side. These mountains are tall and dangerous with many carnivorous animals living there. Most people who want to get to the eastern side of the island find it easier to simply go around rather than risk traveling through.
