Goblins

Goblins are the gnomes of the Orb – chaotic and annoying.

Goblins are small, squat creatures about 3 to 4 feet tall with over-sized heads, long pointed ears, and a hideously wide mouth lined more pointy teeth than a USS Indianapolis swim competition. They have jet black hair and skin that varies from hues of grey, green, and blue; their broad, flat faces dotted with a small nose, and beady black eyes.

Goblins commonly make their homes in the unused attics and crawlspaces of urban buildings. While some goblins pay rent, others exchange the living arrangements for services (maintenance, cleaning, pest extermination, etc.). It is not uncommon to find a building built for larger races to have been converted into Gobo apartments.

Despite the general dislike for Goblins, it is widely acknowledged that Goblins are trustworthy companions…being selective in what you trust them with is a learned skilled.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

Goblins have the following traits (which can be found in Volo's Guide to Monsters):   Ability Score Increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Constitution score increases by 1.   Speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet.   Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Bite: Your toothy pie-hole is an (un)natural weapon, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with it, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.   Fury of the Small: When you damage a creature with an attack or a spell and the creature's size is larger than yours, you can cause the attack or spell to deal extra damage to the creature. The extra damage equals your level. Once you use this trait, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.   Nimble Escape: You can take the Disengage or Hide action as a bonus action on each of your turns.   Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and Goblin.
