Tauran

Tauran are a generally stolid and stoic race that call the Labyrinth, the maze-like Tauran capitol, their home.   Tauran are humanoid creatures with a bull-like head, hoofed feet, and and are built like a brick shithouse. Their hair color is typically different shades of brown or grey, which coincidentally are the colors most commonly associated with shithouses of all types of construction. Males normally sport very large horns, while the females display smaller, less prominent horns. Although it is known that the size and shape of a Tauran's horns is an indicator of virility, it is not a trait that the Taurans attribute and cultural importance to…human scholars have struggled with this for centuries.   Tauran have the reputation of being slow and simple, but they are actually an intelligent and thoughtful race…they are just extremely deliberate in their thinking. While commonly referred to as Minotaurs, Tauran are a distant relation to the Minotaur (similar to the relationship between humans and chimpanzees). Minotaurs are generally larger, fouler in temperament, and tend to stray toward being less humanoid than their Tauran relatives.
