The Split Scale Glave

A glaive said to have been used to slay two dragons, a litch, and an army of fiends. While the actual history of the blade is a mystery, it's power and subsequent curse are attached to it's name. It's said to have been dropped by an angel, which fits it's abilities as anyone who's ever wielded it has defeated some great evil with it. Every wielder also claims that they had little control over those actions. That the glaive took them along that path of good. Only adventurers who had the curse on themselves removed could tell of this tale. Most other wielders died while following the commands of the blade. Attempts to pry the curse from the enchantments have failed catastrophically. The church of Hestu, who's symbol is on the flat of the blade, claim it was one of their angelic guards who wielded the glaive in the battle against the demon lord Tragich the Third.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

A blade of 12 inches made of fine steel with the symbol of Hestu that terminates in a cross guard. The pole it's attached to is made of stained hard wood of an unknown tree. It's been speculated to be the mythical dragon ash. The enchantment seems to guide the blade's path and cause a radiant burn upon the target when struck. The glaive also seems to be drawn to it's current wielder and visa versa. The blade also allows makes the movements of the wielder quieter and swifter. These aspects are all second hand retelling of how the glaive behaved on the battle field, and most who hear of the blade believe it's just religious fervor tied to it's history and the church of Hestu's impact on culture.
