Moranna ir'Wynarn

Regent Emeritus Moranna ir'Wynarn is the chief adviser for her nephew Kaius ir'Wynarn III, the current king of Karrnath. After the unexpected death of her brother King Jaron, she ruled Karrnath as regent from 973 YK to 990 YK until Kaius III came of age to take the throne. Her most notable action as regent was in 986 YK, when working with a young Kaius, she dissolved and outlawed the Order of the Emerald Claw, setting up Kaius to condemn the faith and renounce the Blood of Vol as the state religion. 
Upon Kaius III's ascension to the throne, he appointed Moranna as his chief adviser and Minister of Internal Affairs, making her the second-most powerful person in Karrnath, and responsible for much of the day-to-day administration. 
A serious and intense woman in her 50s, she has never quite let go of the war footing that defined her rule, and still takes great concern to monitor the nation's enemies within and without. Rumours say she is dangerously paranoid, prone to fits of anger, or secretly a vampire, but these are all entirely unfounded claims.
