New Cyre
New Cyre, sitting on one of the primary trade routes of eastern Breland, is home to the largest Cyran refugee community in Khorvaire, with a population that fluctuates between at around ten thousand residents. Mostly working as farmers, New Cyre is theoretically subject to Brelish law but in practice Prince Oargev ir'Wynarn, last son of Cyre's royal family, has a free hand to do as he pleases here.
Now years after the Mourning, political pressure is being raised to either evict the refugees, or to formally cede the land to their fallen enemies - both options that would be extremely unpopular with various groups. So, New Cyre remains in political limbo, as its people work to build a new life.
