Zellandria d'Orien
Baron of House Orien, and the youngest House leader, Zellandria d'Orien is considered a capable and forward-thinking leader bringing new energy to the house. Taking over after her father, Kwanti d'Orien retired, she maintains close ties to the Aundairan crown, maintains a friendship (and rivalry) with fellow baron Esravash d'Lyrandar, and has earned a reputation as a direct speaker with no tolerance for politicking.
In her youth, she was considered flighty and unreliable, with rumours of her stealing lightning rail carriages for joyrides, leading to at least one major derailment. However, after an extended expedition to Xen'drik, she returned to the House with a drive for leadership and a political savvy that nobody expected.
Zellandria brought with her the fruits of her exploration - seeds of ancient Giant teleportation artifice, and flight artifice derived from the Sulatar elves which did not require the Mark of Storm to pilot. Spreading the flying "Beacon Engine" artifice through Khorvaire, she has begun to break House Lyrandar's stranglehold on powered flying machines, opening up new avenues for House Orien couriers to compete in the skies. Meanwhile, the teleportation artifice has been the subject of hundreds of experiments, searching for ways to replicate and utilise the hideously complex Giant technology.
Zellandria has been a sponsor of The Dragonhawk Initiative, conducting experiments into teleporting and launching objects into space, and sending Aperture to helm research into their designs.
