Erin Shani

Erin Shani was the child of Florine and The Librarian. She is a few minutes older than her twin brother, Timothy Shani, who was named after their father. Erin and Timothy are the first twins in recent memory to be born to the Head Mistwalker Family. Because the family's gift for immortality was always understood to be passed down to only one child, Flourine and her father, Rane Shani assumed that Erin inherited this gift and Timothy did not. Nevertheless, Florine hoped her children would carry on the family legacy together.
Timothy was sent to study as a Mistwalker, not only because this is custom for the second child in a family, but also because Florine hoped that completing his first Mistwalk would give him an advantage over death, similar to his sister's. While most Mistwalkers are entirely separated from the families, Timothy was not, as he was expected to take over as Head Mistwalker, if something should happen to his sister. As a result, Flourine often trained Erin and Timothy together, and the two grew very close.
Since their father had had friends from a variety of magical communities, such as Hailey Agustin and Luka Nistor, the children studied all types of magic available to them. Nevertheless, shortly after their thirteenth birthday, Erin went on a trip to Rayl in order to study on her own, as was family custom. There, Erin became partciularly interested in Incorporeal magic, and soon made this her specialty. She practiced daily, becoming the wind, and could regularly be found in various parts of the city, searching for the perfect rocks to use for magic.
While in Rayl, Erin became locally famous, especially as a member of the enviornmentalist movement. She frequently spoke out about ridding the city of unecessary waste and pollution, and even got paid to promote a new brand of Pedal Car. In secret, she led a crusade against "scum" politicians. She used her incorporeal magic to do this, but taking the form of wind and "haunting" those whose policies were contributing to local enviornmental destruction. Erin made regular trips home to visit her family, who also followed her exploits from afar. But after three years in Rayl, she vanished. Timothy left his training as a Mistwalker to search for his sister, but he never found her.
