The Overlap 2.1

This is an outline I wrote during the 2023 Spooktober Challenge. I'll update this article when I get around to writing the actual chapter/story.

1. Damian and Hailey Agustin are hanging out with Timothy at The Library, discussing his Military Transport Vehicle. Timothy explains to them that Luka Nistor had a look at it at some point, but didn't really make anything of it.
2. Damian Agustin has settled into his new life with his family, but he has been separated from his friends of The Overlap. His most recent letter from Luka came back with a "return to sender" stamp, so he has brought his correspondance to be part of Timothy's collection.
3. Florine comes to Damian's house and tells him the Foxes have found Luka and she is on trial (or something like that). She urges Damian to go help Luka, and in the process explains that he has been a pawn in her family's plan to bring magic back together.
4. Damian is angry with Flourine for making him a pawn in her secret mission, but he agrees to help Luka because is his friend, and once helped him.
5. Damian returns to the Fox community where he studied and the guard lets him through to see Luka, who sends him back to where she had been living when the foxes found her. She claims she has an important document that he needs to take to Timothy.
6. Damian returns to the library to tell Timothy about the book, and Flourine is there. The two argue, and Damian tells her he cares more about Luka than Flourine's throne. When Timothy hears about the book, he wants to help look for it, but both Damian and Flourine talk him out of it, as Scavenger tinctures have made him fragile, and there are a lot of things that could kill him. Damian reluctantly agrees to let Flourine join him on the search.
7. Along the way, Florine tries to tell Damian more about the mission, including how she met Timothy, and how he helped her. Damian doesn't believe Florine because he thinks she's trying to manipulate him.
8. Damian and Florine find the book Luka sent them after (this is either the diary of a female Fox or something referring to Penelope Fox, their founder.
9. Damian and Florine return to Olaea with the book, thinking it will somehow provide a legal defense for Luka, as it is evidence of women working Fox magic in the past.
10. Florine and Damian tell Luka the bad news, but Luka is more worried that they handed the book over--it was not to get her out, but for Timothy--because he's trying to put magic back together.
11. Luka is sentenced to execution for practicing Fox magic illegeally, and Damian and Florine are helpless to stop it.
12. Timothy and Hailey show up, having driven to Olaea in the transport vehicle they've got running. Florine is worried about Timothy's health, but Damian insists they have no time to worry.
13. The gang drives the transport vehicle into Luka's cell to break down the wall. Luka is furious that they've come for her and not the book. When she refuses to come with them, Timothy asks where it is. Before anyone can stop him, Timothy uses Scavenger magic to become invisible. Florine is furious and blames Luka for forcing Timothy to use Scavenger magic again. Luka finally concedes to go with them, and Florine and Hailey fend of guards as Luka and Damian try to reset the transport magic on the vehicle. Timothy returns with the book, and looking much the worse for wear--he will likely die from the magic that he used. Everyone get in the vehicle, and Luka activates it, getting it to transport back to the library.
14. Timothy requests he die in the sunshine, as he has spent the last few years cooped up in his library, and Damian makes a promise to him that he will work with Florine to restore magic.
