Neverwinter

As of 1491 DR, Neverwinter, known as the Jewel of the North, is a city of resilience and rebirth. Following the cataclysmic eruption of Mount Hotenow in 1451 DR, it has been in a state of recovery, driven by the strong leadership of Lord Dagult Neverember, who is also the Open Lord of Waterdeep. Despite the devastation, Neverwinter has managed to reclaim much of its former glory, showcasing renewed architecture and bustling marketplaces, underpinned by a vibrant economic resurgence. The city's key features include the protective walls that have been rebuilt stronger than before, the bustling Protector's Enclave at its heart, and the regal, ever-warm waters of the Neverwinter River that continue to support commerce and travel.

Culturally and socially, Neverwinter is a melting pot, with a diverse population that includes humans, dwarves, elves, and other races, all contributing to the city's dynamic community. The city's defenses are robust, featuring a capable guard force and reinforced structures to withstand any threats. Culturally, the city thrives with art, music, and festivals, which resonate within locales such as the restored Tymora's Luck Casino and the newly erected House of a Thousand Faces, a theater where tales of heroism and adventure come to life.

Neverwinter served as the original meeting place of all members of the Owl Friends adventuring party, brought together by mutual acquaintance Gundren Rockseeker to embark on a mission which required trusted friends. Accompanying him was Sildar Hallwinter, serving as one of the members of the Lords' Alliance stationed in the city.
