Talon

Talon is a unique masterwork sword with history that spans centuries. The details of its creation are unknown but the sword was known to be carried by the head of the Tresendar family around the time of -300 CG. The sword was lost to time until it was uncovered in the The Redbrand Hideout, in the possession of Ixal the Nothic.
Talon is made of a stainless iron alloy with a sharp edge on both sides of the blade's flats. A motif of a bird of prey was designed into the sword during its forging, giving the sword its name, as well as a distinct shape. The hilt of the sword is its most prominent feature as it resembles the outstretched wings of a mighty bird of prey. The sword comes with a custom made silver-chased scabbard.
Talon was carried into battle by warriors of the Tresendars many times, the last known time was by Aldith Tresendar during the attack the leveled the original Phandalin. The sword was lost to history after that attack as the the defenders were wiped out.
Talon, as a masterwork, has an innate a +1 quality.
Attunement:
To attune to Talon, a user must spend a short rest handling and examining the sword to create a bond. It is currently attuned to Anar Menel.
