I got started with Novelember prep during October by participating in Spooktober with small story snippets that I could use as seeds for future storytelling! There's no knowing quite yet if I'll use them all this month, but they're great starts! I somehow ended up with about the same amount of prompts for each world!

The Story So Far:

Ducky Delivery — Ebi begins her journey on the path to adventure, and quickly finds that the road isn't linear, and that adventuring is more than just swinging a sword at great and powerful enemies!

Sunny-day Sleepies — The road forward is long, and rest is inevitable; Ebi discovers that taking a spontaneous nap on the path to adventure can lead to interesting encounters!

Goals & Plans: Rebel Lifestyle

Rather than working on a flat 50k words of prose this month, I'll be splitting my goals into a large handful of assorted writing-related tasks I aim to complete within the month! If I can do all of this, I'll consider myself a gold star winner.

01-07 Nov.

This week I got started on my WorldEmber 2024 homework, pulling together my primary focus for the event — most of which I'll be working on during this month's challenge! How fun! I also wrapped up one of my primary goals for the event: writing the next chapter for Fleeting Harvest! Stone Roads was my entry for the Longest Journey, chapter two! About 1k words went into this particular story snippet!
Week one has me feeling pretty good, but I also know that I haven't had much time for writing most of these days. I'm hoping that can pick up throughout the month as we have more free days and, hopefully, less draining quantities of work to do out in the real world. I'm trying to write here, can't they see? Optimistic, still. :)
