Dougan's Hole

The smallest and most southern of the ten towns, Dougan's Hole is home to the fabled Twenty Stones of Thruun, and the tradition of horseshoe-throwing.

Locations

Vonmiir Willowgart's Smithy

A small smithy with a covered forge, used mainly to make tools and horseshoes.

Twenty Stones of Thruun

A large circle of standing stones west of the town. Local legend says that the stones are named after a dead god that once slept beneath them.

Thokk's House

A small one-bedroom house in which Thokk and Kalns Ala live.

History

The Week of Wolves

Following the kidnapping and subsequent retrieval of Thokk, and the Kovitz twins from the Ice Giant's Lodge, the winter wolf, Koran began to attack Dougan's Hole. Every night from the 12th to the 19th of the Claw of Winter 1489, Koran attacked the town in a rage, taking out multiple citizens per night.   By the end of this 7 day rampage half the town had evacuated, while most of the other half had been torn apart by Koran. The scent of blood began to attract gnolls from The Cackling Chasm, leading to the complete massacre of the townsfolk, and Koran alongside them.   On the 24th of the Claw of Winter, Oyaminartok's Marked returned to the town to find the town abandoned and Koran's brother Kanan cornered by gnolls. Assisted by the winter wolf, the Marked tracked the gnolls back to their lair and defeated the threat.
