hyperspace

Hyperspace is the name given to the "tunnels" that connect wormholes. Hyperspace does appear to be a physical space that exists beyond these tunnels, however, as one can occasionally see others who are travelling through hyperspace as well, and even leave the tunnel they are travelling in and access another (though doing so is exceptionally dangerous and unpredictable)

Ecosystem

Hyperspace is an extremely volatile, extremely radioactive place. It is not recommended one leave their ship while in hyperspace. Large-scale ships are capable of being able to protect their inhabitants, but smaller, private ships typically struggle. They can protect their inhabitants, but often sustain massive damage in the process.
