Fairhaven

The city of Fairhaven is the largest in Aundair and the seat of royal power.

Overview

The city, only recently deemed the capital when the original capital Thaliost fell to Thrane in 977 YK, is always abustle with activity. The city features a House Lyrandar airship docking tower at Chalice Center as well as a House Orien lightning rail station. The city has been divided into twelve wards by the city planning district in an effort to better manage the resources of the city. Although the city adheres to the Galifar Code of Justice in many ways, Queen Aurala treats the city as her own personal domain requiring express permission for everything from law to trade to religious worship. Murmurs of an underground movement to overthrow the royal family pass through the streets daily, but the Royal Eyes of Aundair are ever vigilant to thwart those efforts.

Geography

Fairhaven is a city split in two by the Aundair River. Made up of twelve wards, the city is made up of wide avenues and tall chalet buildings tiered on the hills that used to dominate the region. Greenery, trees, parks, and leisure were of utmost importance to the city and it is impeccably maintained, due in large part to the exquisite series of aqueducts throughout the city.   The city's most famous feature is not the hilltop Wrella Palace, Orien Opera House, or even the eerie Tower of Eyes, but is instead the massive complex of catacombs beneath the city. These catacombs are broken into four distinct sections, called roads, that is split (much like the city above) in half by the Aundair River.
