House Ghallanda

House Ghallanda is a halfling dragonmarked house found throughout Khorvaire. Ghallanda is one of the few Dragonmarked Houses that are not involved with some form of arms dealing or soldiering, instead Ghallanda are Eberron's best hosts dealing in food and shelter.

Overview

House Ghallanda runs the hospitality industry, holding a near total monopoly on hotels and restaurants throughout Khorvaire. If Applebee's and Hilton had a child, it would be House Ghallanda.

House Ghallanda possesses the Mark of Hospitality. This dragonmark grants its bearer certain arcane abilities that allow them to produce delicious food, warm shelter, and various other magics that act as comfort services.

House Industry

House Ghallanda operates hotels and restaurants throughout Khorvaire that are synonymous with high quality, comfort, and luxury. While the House may not own every hotel and restaurant in town they do enforce strict standards that must match their own levels of quality and comfort. Those who lack dragonmarks within the house are still able to run some of the finest establishments in all of Khorvaire and, mark or no, members of House Ghallanda take pride in their services. As with every House, Ghallanda does have a shadowy side. Many criminals find safe haven in Ghallanda hotels as the House makes it a point to not ask questions about its guests.

The Golden Dragon Inn

House Ghallanda's most notable institution is the Golden Dragon Inn, a series of luxury hotels that can be found in almost every major city. These Inns boasts large suite rooms, fine dining, and luxury amenities. The prices for rooms may vary by location, but guests can always expect to find the same impeccable service with no questions asked.

The Good Hound

As with the Golden Dragon Inn, Ghallanda is also known for its polished and well-stocked bars throughout Khorviare. A Good Hound bar can be found in nearly every city. Perhaps a bit less luxurious than Golden Dragon Inns, Good Hound bars are famed for their coziness and service. There's no question what you will be getting at a Good Hound, beers, wine, hard drinks, good food, and a comfortable atmosphere.
