House Sivis possesses the Mark of Scribing which grants various magical benefits related to written and verbal communication. It is through the auspices of Sivis that people can communicate with another across Khorvaire almost instantaneously. House Sivis members also act as translators for diplomats and other dignitaries.

House Sivis offers the services of the Sivis Post across the entire continent. Using dragonshard technology, messages can be sent via a telegraph-like device to any other Sivis Post Office or terminal. Post offices can be found in every city on the continent where messages can be picked up or sent. These offices also offer these various other services:

• Arcane encryption/decryption (50cr per page)

Though House Sivis is the most trusted of the houses, it does not mean they are without their blemishes. Sivis holds an incredible amount of sway because they control the flow of information through Eberron.
