The Aurum

The Aurum is a philanthropic organization that operates throughout Khorvaire. It holds branches in the Five Nations, as well as Darguun, Valenar, Zilargo, the Mror Holds, and the Shadow Marches. Its headquarters are located in Sharn, BR.

Overview

The Aurum operates as a philanthropic group focused on the betterment of Khorvaire's citizenry and society. They are not affiliated with any nation or dragonmarked House and instead defend the interests of Khorvaire's otherwise forgotten peoples.
The organization is divided into four tiers, or orders, of membership represented by the greater metals: Copper, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. While the organization's good deeds and financial sponsorships are public and well-known, the inner workings of the organization are secretive and mysterious. These inner workings have been called traditional and hokey by some members, but they remain secretive nonetheless. In general, they can be compared to the Free Masons in real life.

• Minister of the Aurum and the only Mithril-Order member. Met by the Phaeros Foundation at the Huntington's Annual Summer's Cusp Masquerade Ball.

• Silver-Order member and sponsor of the Phaeros Foundation.

Sharn

In the Upper Tavick's Landing district, the Aurum Tower houses the Aurum's headquarters in Breland. The building itself is a marvel of construction and is one of the largest towers in Sharn. The entryway is actually quite small, despite the tower's size, and only houses a semi-circular desk flanked by two closed hallways. Only members are allowed beyond.
