The Lightning Rail is an arcane railway system created by House Cannith, owned and operated by House Orien, and powered by dragonshard technology.

Overview

The Lightning rail is a railway system that spans a large section of the continent of Khorvaire, mostly centered on the region of the Five Nations, but also stretching out to Zilargo, Valenar, and even as far as the Mror Holds. The Rail has become the primary means for long-distance travel throughout Khorvaire and is House Orien's prized industry.

Hubs

The Lightning Rail has two major hubs. The first is located in Passage, AU which also houses House Orien's largest enclave and headquarters. The second is located in Sharn, BR at Grand Mesa Station.

Issues with the Mourning

The rail used to have a third transit hub in Metrol, CY that serviced eastern Khorvaire. Since the events of the Mourning, the eastern lines that service Karrnath, the Talenta Plains, Valenar, and the Mror Holds are somewhat in disarray. This has forced House Orien to spend considerable manpower and crowns to keep these lines working properly.

Details and Pricing

The Lightning Rail has several different liners, each covering a different purpose or quality. Some, like the Golden Horn Liner, offer luxurious amenities and style where as the Cargo Liner is specifically for shipping.
