The Expansion Wars, seeing no end in sight are abruptly ended by the arrival of an unknown alien warship, its hull unrecognisable from the human craft they knew nor the alien warships they'd encountered during their expansion across the cluster. The Treatise of Kiln is hastily re-ratified and the Union once again acts united against this new threat.
