The QD was a product of the Dialect backstory session.
The QD refers to "The Quiet Dark" that represented the perception of many inhabitants of the busy mono-industrial planets of the Star Wars galaxy following the destruction of the 2nd Death Star and the dismantling of the Imperial structural establishment.
